How to download a file from the server in Vaadin 7 on demand / late binding of file / dynamically

Here is an advanced file downloader class which can set/change a file on each click of its download.
For instance, consider we have a download button/link and we want to change the file on the click of the button. This can be achieved by this component. This component has a common listener called AdvancedDownloaderListener.beforeDownload which will invoke when we click the button/link etc.. just before the download starts, so that we can change the file path. And, the changed file can be downloaded.

The vaadin framework is build up on GWT libraries, if you want to know about GWT Toolkit, refer this GWT blog written by Alberto Mancini.

Another powerful open source java framework is webfirmframework. It can generate html5 and css3 from Java code. It's an html5 supported framework. Unlike GWT/Vaadin, it keeps templates for ui components. It gives complete freedom of development, you can add/remove any dom elements/styles from ui using java code, i.e. you can decide what elements/styles to come at client side so that you can optimise ui. You can handle events at server side as well as client side (java at server side and javascript at client side). Easy to convert a ready made designed html to wff java code using their tool, which gives the freedom to use any html designs picked from any source of web. I have used it as for email templates in few of my projects. Currently, I'm using its wffweb-2.x version in my current project for UI development and I never faced any kind of limitation with this framework like this vaadin FileDownloader, BrowserWindowOpener, Menu, Table, Grid issues. The only downside I found with wffweb is it's html5 based so it will not work in old browser versions.
